Delhi Police Issues Guidelines for Journalists Covering Protests

Delhi Police Issues Guidelines for Journalists Covering Protests

Delhi Police has shared rules for reporters covering protests.

Reporters should carry identification from their news organizations or valid accreditation cards.

They should keep their cards where officers can see them.

During tense moments, they should stay a safe distance from the scene.

They should also make it clear that they are reporters, not protesters.

Police said reporters should not get in the way of police work.

Additional DCP Manjeet Sheoran said some people present themselves as journalists and later join protests.

The guidance was issued ahead of protests referenced for October 10.
