'Assassination' Passes on Jared Leto Amid New Misconduct Allegations
Jared Leto is a very famous actor and singer who even won an Oscar.
A BBC documentary showed women saying he did bad things to them when they were teenagers.
Because of these claims, a movie called 'Assassination' decided not to work with him.
Jared says he never hurt anyone and that the women are not telling the truth.
Police in Las Vegas and Los Angeles say they do not have any open cases about him right now.
The company that helps him find acting jobs still works with him.
The movie 'Assassination' is about a reporter who investigated President Kennedy's death.
This story shows how serious claims can change a celebrity's career.
Many people are watching to see what happens next.
Jared Leto was in talks to join Barry Levinson's political thriller 'Assassination' last year, but producers ultimately passed on him as sexual misconduct allegations mounted.
Four women accused Leto of sexual assault, threatened sexual assault, or other misconduct toward them as teenagers in the BBC documentary 'Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark Secret'.
The documentary included accounts from ten women in total, describing alleged incidents between 2002 and 2016.
Leto denied the allegations, telling TMZ, 'I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false.'
Las Vegas police said the alleged 2002 assault was never reported, while LAPD and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reported no open cases; his agency WME continues to represent him.
