Jamia Millia Scholar Wins Commonwealth Split-site Scholarship
Nitesh Dogne, a PhD student from Jamia Millia Islamia, has won a special scholarship called the Commonwealth Split-site Scholarship.
This scholarship lets him spend one year at the University of Bath in the UK.
His research is about how a tribe in India, the Bhil tribe, uses water, energy, and waste in smart ways.
The scholarship pays for his travel, school fees, and living costs.
Only a few people get this scholarship each year, and Nitesh was chosen because his research is important and could help his home country.
He will study how the tribe's traditional practices can teach us about clean water, clean energy, and fighting climate change.
After his studies, he will share what he learned with his university in India.
