BLOs manage voter queries as new names added to Calcutta electoral roll
In Calcutta, special officers called BLOs are helping people add their names to the voter list.
They give out forms to new voters who want to join the list.
Some people who missed getting forms earlier are now asking for them.
BLOs are also checking if names that were removed by mistake can be added back.
Some polling stations didn't have BLOs, so people couldn't check the list or get forms.
The BLOs are trying to make sure everyone who wants to vote can do so.
BLOs are distributing forms for adding names to the voter list during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR).
More than 100 Form 6s were distributed at Eliyas Meyer School for adding names to the voter list.
Voters whose names were deleted from the draft list need to fill out Form 6 to be added as new voters.
Some polling stations, like Welland Gouldsmith School and Ling Liang High School, did not have BLOs present.
Voters are checking the draft electoral roll at polling stations to ensure their names and photographs are updated.
