Former Chhattisgarh CMO OSD Arrested in CGPSC Exam Case
The Enforcement Directorate has arrested Chetan Borghariya in a case about alleged cheating in government job examinations.
The examinations were conducted by the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission in 2020 and 2021.
Investigators say some people collected more than Rs 3 crore from candidates.
They allegedly promised candidates advance access to exam papers and help securing selection.
The ED says Borghariya’s former government position was mentioned when these promises were made.
Investigators also allege that leaked papers were given to some candidates.
They found cash deposits and financial transactions connected to the investigation.
A court sent Borghariya to ED custody for six days while the investigation continues.
The Enforcement Directorate arrested Chetan Borghariya on September 11, 2026, under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
Borghariya was formerly an Officer on Special Duty in the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister’s Office and is now an Additional Collector in Balrampur-Ramanujganj.
