Rajasthan Imposes Movement Ban Near India-Pak Border Amid Security Concerns
Imagine there's a fence between two countries, India and Pakistan.
Sometimes, bad people try to sneak things or people across this fence using drones.
Because of recent worries about safety, the leaders in one part of India, called Sriganganagar, have decided to put a special rule in place.
For the next two months, nobody can go near the fence between 7 at night and 6 in the morning, in an area that's 3 kilometers wide.
They also can't use bright lights or make loud noises.
Farmers who work near the fence need special permission.
This is to help stop people and things like drugs and weapons from coming across the border.
Public movement is banned within a 3-km radius of the India-Pakistan border in Rajasthan's Sriganganagar district for two months.
The ban is effective daily from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., with restrictions on entering the border area without permission.
Use of brightly lit and loud noise-producing devices is also prohibited in the restricted zone.
Farmers in border areas must obtain permission before carrying out agricultural work.
The decision aims to control cross-border infiltration, smuggling, and anti-social activities, heightened by recent drone smuggling incidents and a Delhi blast.
