Jio Credit Raises Rs 1,000 Crore in First Bond Issue
Imagine a company called Jio Credit, which is part of Reliance, like Mukesh Ambani's group.
They wanted to borrow money, so they issued bonds.
This is like asking people to lend them money, and in return, they promise to pay it back with some extra money called interest.
They managed to raise a large amount, 1,000 crore rupees, from investors in India.
The interest rate they'll pay is 7.19%, and the investors will get their money back in a little less than three years.
It was so popular that investors wanted to lend them three times more money than they initially asked for.
Jio Credit, a Reliance group financing arm, issued its first bond.
The bond issue successfully raised Rs 1,000 crore from domestic investors.
The coupon rate for the bonds is 7.19 percent.
The bonds have a maturity period of two years and ten months.
