Children of wastepickers celebrate achievements in Pune

In Pune, an event called 'Jyoti Savitrichi Lekare' was held to celebrate the hard work and achievements of children whose parents are waste pickers.

Many of these children have done very well in their studies, even though they face many challenges.

Some of them spoke about how their parents' struggles have inspired them to work hard.

The event was organized by a group called KKPKP, which helps waste pickers.

Over 500 people attended, including waste pickers and their children.

The event also highlighted how important education is for these children and how they are overcoming difficulties to build better futures.

A book with inspiring stories of these children was also launched.
