OU and CBIT Shine at Semicon India 2025
Two schools in Hyderabad, Osmania University and CBIT, showed off their new chip designs at a big tech event called SemiconIndia2025.
The government is helping these schools to create their own chips so India doesn't have to rely on others.
A government official, G Kishan Reddy, was very happy and said it's a big step for India.
This is part of a plan to help students learn how to make chips and boost the country's tech industry.
The goal is for India to become a major player in making electronics and not have to buy so many from other countries.
Osmania University (OU) and CBIT showcased chip designs at SemiconIndia2025.
Union Minister G Kishan Reddy congratulated the institutions.
Their participation is considered a key step towards technological self-reliance.
The designs were developed by student and faculty teams.
They are part of the Chips to Startup (C2S) program.
