Rajasthan Railway Constable Arrested Over Alleged ₹70,000 Bribe

Rajasthan Railway Constable Arrested Over Alleged ₹70,000 Bribe

The Anti-Corruption Bureau, or ACB, investigates suspected bribery.

It says railway constable Mohammad Nadeem Qureshi asked a person for money.

The person said Qureshi threatened to accuse him in a railway-material theft case.

The alleged demand began at ₹1 lakh.

After discussions, it was lowered to ₹70,000.

The ACB arranged a trap after checking the complaint.

Officials say they arrested Qureshi while he was taking the money at the complainant’s home.

The case is now being investigated under India’s anti-corruption law.
