CPI(M) Seeks Urgent Relief for Flood-Hit Bari Families
Floods have affected many families in Bari block of Jajpur district.
The CPI(M) said some villages are underwater and many homes, crops and roads have been damaged.
It also said people are struggling to get drinking water, electricity, healthcare and food.
The party alleged that rescue teams and relief supplies have not reached everyone quickly enough.
It said cooked meals have not been provided for three days.
The CPI(M) wants the government to send food, water, medicine and temporary shelters immediately.
It also wants medical teams and safer relief centres for families.
The party is asking for a careful damage survey, compensation and repairs to roads, bridges, water systems and electricity lines.
