West Bengal considers revised plans for stalled allotted land projects

West Bengal considers revised plans for stalled allotted land projects

The West Bengal government wants some companies to be able to change their project plans instead of losing land they were given.

This could apply when the original projects did not start or were not completed.

Officials will study each new proposal before approving it.

Creating jobs will be an important part of the decision.

The government is considering 100 jobs per acre as a benchmark.

A technology hub received about 250 acres for projects by 42 companies.

So far, only five companies have completed projects there.

Adani Group has started building a hospital on land originally assigned for a data centre park.
