CPCL to Launch 300 Retail Fuel Outlets by End of Year
A company called CPCL, which usually makes a lot of fuel, is getting ready to open its own gas stations.
They plan to open 300 of these stations all across the country by the end of 2025.
The first one will be in North Chennai and will be owned and operated by CPCL itself.
This is a new step for CPCL to be more visible to people and to help manage when fuel prices go up or down.
They are also working on a new big factory to make more fuel in Nagapattinam, but it needs government approval.
The company's boss believes that we will still need different types of energy, like fossil fuels, newer ones like solar power, and even hydrogen, to work together for our future needs.
CPCL plans to launch its retail fuel outlets by the end of 2025, aiming for 300 locations nationwide.
The move into retail is intended to enhance public visibility and buffer against fuel price volatility.
The first CPCL retail outlet will be a Company-owned and Company-operated (COCO) facility in North Chennai.
CPCL has acquired land for a Nagapattinam refinery and is awaiting government approval.
CPCL's Managing Director emphasized the need for fossil fuels, renewables, and hydrogen to coexist to meet future energy demands.
