Zerodha Introduces WhatsApp Backup for Traders During Outages
Zerodha, a company that helps people trade stocks, had a problem when a big internet service called Cloudflare had a small issue.
This made it hard for people to use Zerodha's trading app, called Kite.
To fix this, Zerodha made a backup plan using WhatsApp.
Now, if the internet has problems, traders can send a message to a special WhatsApp number to manage their trades.
This backup is only for emergencies and helps traders when the main app isn't working.
Zerodha wants everyone to save the backup number so they can use it quickly if needed.
Zerodha introduced a WhatsApp backup service for traders to manage positions during outages.
The backup is activated by sending a message to +91 99644 52020 on WhatsApp.
Cloudflare outages can temporarily block access to Zerodha's trading interface, Kite.
Zerodha's core trading systems remain functional during such outages.
The WhatsApp backup is designed for emergencies and not for regular trading.
