Giant Shark Spotted in Rhode Island Pond, Startling Diners
Some people eating at a restaurant in Rhode Island saw a really big shark in the water nearby.
The shark was about as long as a bus!
Someone took a video of it swimming around.
Experts are trying to figure out what kind of shark it was.
Sharks sometimes come closer to the shore when it gets warmer.
This is because fish and other things sharks like to eat also come closer to shore.
Scientists say it's not super unusual to see sharks there at this time of year.
A large shark was spotted in Great Salt Pond near a Rhode Island restaurant.
The shark was estimated to be around 20 feet in length.
The sighting was captured on video by a local resident.
The Atlantic Shark Institute reported the incident, but the shark's species is yet to be identified.
Marine experts indicate such sightings are seasonal as water temperatures rise.
