Mumbai Corporators Return to Key Projects
After nearly four years, the elected leaders of Mumbai are coming back to work on big projects.
They will have money to fix local problems like water and cleanliness.
Some important projects include making roads smoother, preventing floods, building new dams, and improving public transport.
They also want to make walking safer and organize street vendors better.
These projects will help make Mumbai a better place to live.
Elected corporators return to Mumbai's planning table on January 31 after four years of administrator rule.
Each corporator allocated Rs 1.6 crore annually for local issues and infrastructure projects.
Key projects include road concretisation, flood management, water supply augmentation, and public transport improvement.
Concretisation project aims to pave 700 km of roads, with 38.28% already completed.
Plans to make Mumbai flood-free within five years through rainwater harvesting and improving storm water drainage.
