Nothing to Spin Off CMF as Standalone Indian Company
Nothing’s CEO, Carl Pei, says CMF will become its own company in India.
Most of the new company will be owned by Indian shareholders.
CMF will have its headquarters, workers, and research teams in India.
Nothing will still own part of CMF and help it with technology and suppliers.
CMF already makes phones, headphones, earbuds, and watches.
The company wants to create more products and sell them around the world.
Pei believes India has many factories, smartphone buyers, and skilled software workers.
He hopes CMF will eventually sell 100 million phones each year.
The plan follows earlier investment and manufacturing plans involving Nothing and Optiemus Infracom.
Nothing CEO Carl Pei said CMF will become a standalone Indian company with majority Indian ownership.
The new entity will be headquartered in India and operate with its own local team and research and development operations.
Nothing will retain a stake and support CMF with technology, engineering, suppliers, and global infrastructure.
CMF plans to expand beyond smartphones into audio devices, wearables, and other consumer technology products.
Pei set a long-term target of selling 100 million CMF phones annually from India.
