Central Government Offices Construction Expedited in Amaravati
The Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications, Dr Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, has directed officials to speed up the construction of Central government office buildings in Amaravati.
Two major projects are underway: one for general pool offices and another for residential accommodation.
The office project will be on 5.53 acres and cost Rs 1,229.08 crore, while the residential project will be on 17 acres and cost Rs 1,234.91 crore.
Both projects are targeted to be completed by February 2029.
Additionally, the Indira Gandhi National Open University building is completed and ready for inauguration.
The minister assured round-the-clock coordination between the Centre and state government.
