IIM Jammu’s Nalanda Library Becomes City’s First Smart Library

IIM Jammu’s Nalanda Library Becomes City’s First Smart Library

IIM Jammu has created a smart library called the Nalanda Library.

It combines regular books with many online learning materials.

Students can use the library’s digital resources from campus, hostels, or while away for academic activities.

The library has a website where students can find resources and reserve rooms.

It uses computer systems and RFID technology to manage books and other materials.

Students can access about 2.5 lakh e-books and more than 23,000 e-journals.

The library also provides information through more than 56 databases.

A special Bloomberg Finance Lab helps students study business and finance.

Even though most resources are digital, students continue to use printed books.
