Forest Ranger Killed While Chasing Illegal Mining Dumper
A forest officer named Pratap Singh Chundawat was checking reports of illegal soil mining.
He and other forest workers found a JCB machine and a dumper truck in a forest area.
The dumper drove away when the team arrived.
Chundawat followed it on his motorcycle.
Police said other people encouraged the dumper driver to hit him.
The truck allegedly ran over Chundawat and escaped.
He was taken to a government hospital but died on Tuesday.
Police identified the alleged driver as Kana Bawri.
