Political Shifts in Kerala's Mayoral Races

In Kerala, some Congress leaders are upset because they think the wrong person was chosen to be the mayor of Kochi.

They say a woman named Deepthi Mary Varghese should have been picked, but instead, someone else was chosen.

The leaders who are upset say the rules for picking the mayor were not followed.

Meanwhile, in Thiruvananthapuram, a man named V.V. Rajesh is going to be the first mayor from the BJP party.

This is a big deal because the BJP has never had a mayor there before.

The BJP won many seats in the recent elections, which helped Rajesh get this important job.

Both of these stories show how politics are changing in Kerala.
