ED Arrests Shashank Chopda in Chhattisgarh Medical Scam

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Shashank Chopda, a partner in a company called M/s Mokshit Corporation, for money laundering.

This is related to a big scam where medical equipment and reagents were bought at very high prices, causing a lot of money to be lost by the government.

The ED found that Chopda and others manipulated the buying process, created fake demands, and supplied items at inflated prices.

They also used the money to buy assets and hide their illegal gains.

The ED has attached assets worth over Rs 43 crore and is still investigating to find out more about the scam, which is estimated to be worth Rs 500-660 crore.
