Iran Claims New Strikes Damaged U.S. Aircraft in Jordan
Iran and the United States are fighting a continuing war in West Asia.
Iran says it attacked a U.S. air base in Jordan with ballistic missiles.
Jordan says most of the missiles were stopped before they could hit their targets.

The article also lists other American aircraft and drones that were allegedly destroyed or damaged.
Some of these claims have been denied by the United States.
Iran says it has hit advanced American aircraft, while the United States disputes those claims.
President Trump says America is winning, even though the war has caused serious military losses and higher oil prices.
Iran said ballistic-missile strikes hit Jordan’s Muwaffaq Salti Air Base after the United States destroyed five oil tankers.
Jordan said it intercepted 18 of 20 missiles, while the other two landed in uninhabited areas.
A CBS News report said one U.S. A-10 lost a wing and eight F-15s sustained light damage.
The report described additional claimed or reported losses involving U.S. drones, aircraft, air-defense systems and a captured underwater drone.
Despite reported military setbacks, President Donald Trump said the United States was winning and that the war would continue beyond the midterm elections.
