Nayi Chetna 4.0 Launched for Gender Equality

Nayi Chetna 4.0 Launched for Gender Equality

Shivraj Singh Chouhan, a Union Minister, started a big campaign called Nayi Chetna 4.0.

This campaign is about making sure women in rural areas are safe, respected, and can earn money.

The government wants to help women become strong and independent.

They have made a plan with many different government departments to work together.

The campaign will last for a year and will happen all over India.

Women in self-help groups will lead this movement.

The goal is to stop violence against women and help them get better jobs and opportunities.

Around 4.5 lakh cases of gender-based violence are reported each year, and one in three women faces physical or sexual violence.

The campaign will focus on economic empowerment by improving access to land rights, credit, digital livelihoods, and financial services.

The minister also called for stronger Gender Resource Centres (GRCs) to offer counselling, legal aid, health linkages, and information on rights and entitlements.

Major national schemes like PMJDY, PMMY, NRLM, and the Lakhpati Didi initiative will help give women greater financial control and decision-making power.
