CCI Allows Balanagar Farmers to Sell Cotton at Shadnagar Center
Farmers in a part of Telangana called Balanagar had to travel a very long way, more than 30 kilometers, to sell their cotton.
There's a closer place, Shadnagar, only 5 kilometers away, where they could sell it, but they weren't allowed.
This made them spend extra money on travel.
Now, after some government leaders talked to the company that buys cotton, called CCI, they said yes!
Farmers from Balanagar can now sell their cotton at the Shadnagar place.
This will save them time and money.
The leaders also mentioned that many farmers in Telangana are having a tough year because of bad weather, bugs, and expensive supplies, making it hard to get a fair price for their cotton.
CCI has agreed to allow cotton farmers from Balanagar mandal to sell their produce at the Shadnagar procurement center.
Previously, these farmers had to travel over 30 km to Jadcherla, while Shadnagar is only 5 km away.
This change aims to reduce unnecessary transport expenses and losses for the farmers.

Farmers in Telangana face challenges this season due to unseasonal rains, cyclonic impact, pest attacks, and high input costs, making it difficult to achieve Minimum Support Price (MSP).
