Animal Sacrifices Continue at Odisha Temple Festival

During the Chhatar Yatra festival, people in Odisha sacrificed many animals.

This was done as part of a tradition to honor the goddess Maa Manikeswari.

Devotees offered goats, hoping to have their wishes come true.

The sacrifices happened along a three-kilometer route.

Even though there are laws against it, the local government did not stop the practice.

The festival, filled with celebration, ended without any problems.
