Indian Railways identifies 15 stations for PPP redevelopment

Railway stations are the places where people get on and off trains.

The government of India wants to make many railway stations better and more modern.

Old stations can be crowded and uncomfortable for passengers.

To pay for these improvements, the government will team up with private companies.

This teamwork is called a 'Public-Private Partnership,' or PPP.

The Ministry of Railways has picked 15 stations for this special makeover project.

The Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, told the Rajya Sabha about this plan on Friday.

One station called Rani Kamalapati in Madhya Pradesh has already been rebuilt this way.

Another station in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, has received approval to start its redevelopment.

The goal is to make train travel nicer for everyone.
