Kerala High Court lets case proceed in girl's death

A court said that doctors are not special and must follow the law like everybody else.

The case is about a 10-year-old girl who died a long time ago in 2010.

Her father said the doctors who treated her made big mistakes.

A group of experts studied the case and said the doctors were very careless.

The doctors said the report was wrong and did not want to be put on trial.

But the court said the doctors must be tried in court, because nobody is above the law.

The judges also said the case has taken too long, for 16 years, and more waiting would make people lose trust in the justice system.

The doctors will still get a chance to defend themselves in the trial.

The expert report is just evidence, not a final decision that they are guilty.
