Parliament Must Be Place for Questions, Answers and Resolution: Rijiju

Parliament Must Be Place for Questions, Answers and Resolution: Rijiju

A government minister named Kiren Rijiju wrote an article about Parliament.

Parliament is where the people who make laws for India meet and talk.

He said Parliament should be a place where people can ask questions and get answers.

He said the government is not scared of questions or criticism, even sharp criticism.

But he added that democracy also needs the courage to listen to the answers.

He hopes the next meeting, called the Winter Session, will be a chance to think about what Parliament should be.

He wants leaders to move beyond disruption and confrontation and rediscover dialogue.

He believes different opinions are healthy in a democracy.

He says disagreement should lead to discussion, and discussion should lead to resolution.

He ends by saying that is the Parliament India deserves.
