BJP MLA Proposes Five-Point Jobs and Skills Mission
A politician from Uttar Pradesh named Rajeshwar Singh wrote a letter to the Chief Minister and the central government.
He wants a plan to help young people find jobs and learn new skills.
He suggested having job fairs every month for at least six months.
At these fairs, people could walk in for interviews and maybe get hired on the spot.
He thinks companies should not say no to young people just because they lack some skills.
Instead, he wants companies to train people before rejecting them.
He also believes company leaders should make training young people an important goal.
He wants businesses, schools, and the government to talk regularly and plan for future jobs.
If the idea works well, it could be used across the whole country.
Sarojini Nagar BJP MLA Rajeshwar Singh wrote to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya proposing a five-point action plan to enhance skills and employment.
He proposed holding skill and job fairs every month for at least six months, with walk-in interviews and possibly on-the-spot selections.
Singh advocated a 'train before you reject' approach, urging employers to mentor young people instead of mechanically rejecting them for current skill gaps.
He called on CEOs and promoters to personally review fresher recruitment and apprenticeship programmes and make youth training and talent creation a boardroom KPI.
The former Enforcement Directorate official also proposed regular government-industry-academia roundtables to forecast manpower and skill requirements for 3-5 years ahead.
