MHADA Extends Amnesty Scheme for Housing Societies to 2025
Imagine some apartment buildings in Mumbai are waiting to officially be allowed to have people live in them.
MHADA, which is like the city's housing helper, had a special deal to help these buildings.
They said they wouldn't charge extra fees or would help them get the papers they needed.
Now, MHADA has decided to keep these helpful deals going for a longer time, until the end of 2025.
This means that about 80 apartment buildings in Mumbai can relax a bit because they have more time to get everything sorted out without worrying about extra costs.
This decision was made by the boss of MHADA, and it's good news for these housing societies.
MHADA extended amnesty schemes until December 31, 2025.
The extension benefits housing societies awaiting occupancy certificates.
The schemes waive interest on additional premiums.
The extension was sanctioned by MHADA’s vice-president and CEO.
