Punjab Assembly Criticizes Centre's G-RAM-G Scheme
The Punjab Assembly has held five special sessions since 2022 to criticize the BJP-led Central government.
The latest session on December 30, 2023, passed a resolution against the Centre's Viksit Bharat–G Ram G scheme, which they say is against the poor and Dalits.
The Opposition, however, is upset because these special sessions don't let them talk about issues in their own areas.
They say the government should hold regular sessions instead.
The AAP government has held five such sessions so far, each time criticizing the BJP or the Centre.
Meanwhile, the BJP is preparing for a nationwide campaign to support the G-RAM-G scheme and counter the Congress's 'Save MGNREGA' movement starting January 5, 2026.
The BJP plans to hold meetings and interactions to explain the benefits of the G-RAM-G scheme.
