Netflix Shows Spotlight Diverse LA Neighborhoods Onscreen
Netflix is showing off three of its new shows about Los Angeles!
These shows, including a rom-com and stories about the Menendez murders, are filmed in different parts of the city like Hollywood and Beverly Hills.
The people making the shows want to show how cool and different each neighborhood is.
They used real places and music from local artists to make the shows feel real and alive, like you are actually walking down the streets of LA.
One show even had to change the color of a tennis court to make it look like the 1980s, when the story took place.
The shows are a way of saying "we love LA!"
Netflix showcased three shows - 'Nobody Wants This,' 'Monsters,' and 'Forever' - at a FYSEE event.
The event, titled 'Crafting LA: The City You Love Onscreen,' focused on portraying Los Angeles.
'Nobody Wants This' used locations in Hollywood, Los Feliz, Silverlake, and Eagle Rock to portray the city.
'Forever' incorporated music from LA artists to reflect the time period.
'Monsters' faced production challenges to recreate tennis courts from the 1980s.
