Clearances Delay ₹6,637 Crore Urban Projects Across Madhya Pradesh

Clearances Delay ₹6,637 Crore Urban Projects Across Madhya Pradesh

Officials in Madhya Pradesh reviewed large city projects and found that many were moving slowly.

These projects are meant to improve water supply and sewerage systems.

Together, 23 projects are worth ₹6,637.49 crore.

They are spread across 13 city governments.

Some projects are waiting for railway or highway permissions.

Others need forest, environmental or land clearances.

Problems with designs and slow contractor mobilisation are also causing delays.

Bhopal has four delayed projects, while Indore, Gwalior, Khandwa and Ujjain also have important projects behind schedule.

Officials have referred some problems to the state government for action.
