Government Cuts Grievance Resolution Time From 28 Days To 14

Government Cuts Grievance Resolution Time From 28 Days To 14

The government has an online system called CPGRAMS for people to report problems with government services.

It now handles about 22 lakh complaints each year.

On average, the Central government takes 14 days to close a complaint, compared with 28 days in 2019.

In June 2026, officials closed nearly two lakh complaints.

This was the 48th month in a row with more than one lakh complaints closed in a month.

More than 1.5 crore complaints have gone through the system since 2019.

Some complaints are still waiting, but 68 percent of the Central government’s pending cases were less than 21 days old in June 2026.

Common Service Centres and citizen feedback are being used to help more people access the system and judge whether complaints were truly resolved.
