Four Men Sentenced to Life for Pilibhit Killing
A court in Pilibhit sentenced four men to life in prison.
The men were Madan Lal, Kallu Dheemar, Surajpal and Surendra.
Prosecutors said they went to a family’s home after accusing Anil of assaulting their relative.
They allegedly tied Anil to an electric pole and beat him.
They also allegedly dragged him through the village and attacked him again.
Anil was later left dead near a road.
Each convicted man must also pay a fine of Rs 30,000.
Two other people originally charged died while the trial was still happening.
