Abhishek Banerjee's former aide faces second day of CID questioning

A man named Sumit Roy used to help a famous politician named Abhishek Banerjee.

Police detectives, called the CID, think Roy may have been part of a plan to sell government land that was not theirs to sell.

The Supreme Court, the highest court in India, said the police cannot arrest Roy for now.

But it told him he must come to the police every day between 10 in the morning and 6 in the evening to answer questions.

He is not allowed to bring a lawyer with him when he talks to the police.

Roy had been missing since June, and police could not find him even after searching the politician's house with special cutting tools.

The police began suspecting Roy after questioning a former lawmaker named Sujoy Hazra, who had already been arrested.

They found that about one crore rupees had moved between Hazra's and Roy's bank accounts.

Roy showed up on Saturday and talked with the detectives for about ten hours, and he came back on Sunday for more questions.

Roy says all the accusations against him are false.
