Bhiwandi Children Install Cow Dung Ganesha Idol for Ganeshotsav
Children in Bhiwandi celebrated Ganeshotsav with a special Ganesha idol made from cow dung.
The Samast Mahajan Foundation prepared the idol.
It was given to Sumit Gupta and installed by children at their housing society.
The children wanted to celebrate their faith while also caring for nature.
Some conventional idols use plaster of Paris and chemical colours.
Their immersion can contribute to pollution in water bodies.
The natural idol helped spread awareness about eco-friendly celebrations.
It also showed residents that small community actions can support the environment.
Children at Shri Kanhaiya Residency in Kapali, Bhiwandi, installed a Ganesha idol made entirely from cow dung.
The idol was prepared by the Samast Mahajan Foundation and provided to Sumit Gupta.
The children used the initiative to promote environmental conservation during Ganeshotsav.
Natural-material idols are presented as alternatives to plaster-of-Paris idols and chemical-based colours.
The effort encouraged residents to connect religious devotion with more responsible, sustainable celebrations.
