Five BNP Activists Injured in Chattogram Gun Attack Amidst Intra-Party Dispute
In Bangladesh, a fight broke out between members of the same political party, the BNP.
Five party members were shot and hurt because two groups within the party were arguing about who should be in charge in a local area.
This happened late one night.
The injured people were taken to the hospital and are very sick.
Police are now investigating and have sent more officers to the area to make sure no one else gets hurt.
This isn't the first time violence has happened in this party recently, as other members have also been shot and killed in recent weeks.
These fights seem to be happening because different groups inside the BNP disagree on who has power.
At least five BNP activists were injured in a gun attack in Chattogram, Bangladesh.
The attack allegedly stemmed from a dispute over local dominance between rival factions within the BNP.
The injured individuals are undergoing treatment at Chittagong Medical College Hospital and are reported to be in critical condition.
Unidentified assailants arrived on motorcycles and in a car before opening fire on the BNP activists.
This incident follows a pattern of political violence in the region, including previous shootings and fatalities involving BNP members and related organizations.
