Tirumala Prepares for Vaikuntha Ekadasi
The Tirumala temple recently performed a special cleaning ritual called Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam to prepare for the upcoming Vaikuntha Ekadasi festival.
This ritual is done before four major events each year.
The temple was cleaned thoroughly, and special prayers were offered.
For the Vaikuntha Ekadasi festival, which starts on December 30, the temple authorities have made many arrangements to manage the large number of devotees expected.
Tokens were given out for the first three days, and special darshans for certain groups have been cancelled to handle the crowd better.
The chairman of the temple board has asked everyone not to believe false rumors about not being allowed to enter Tirumala and to follow the guidelines for a smooth darshan experience.
The district officials have ensured that common devotees will receive top priority and that all necessary facilities and security measures are in place to ensure a smooth and peaceful darshan experience.
Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam ritual was performed at Tirumala temple on December 27, 2023, ahead of Vaikuntha Ekadasi.
The entire temple complex, including sub-shrines and puja articles, was purified using sacred aromatic substances.
Elaborate arrangements have been made for Vaikuntha Dwara Darshanam from December 30 to January 8, including token allotment and security measures.
TTD trust board chairman B R Naidu clarified that devotees without tokens can visit Tirumala but will not be allowed darshan on the first three days.
Special darshans for certain groups have been cancelled, and extensive security and annaprasadam arrangements are in place.
