Andhra Pradesh Launches Critical Care Blocks, Health Labs, Digital Records
Andhra Pradesh has opened new places to help people who need serious medical care.
Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu launched the facilities.
The project costs ₹249 crore.
It includes 10 Critical Care Blocks and 12 public health laboratories.
These facilities add 500 beds for very sick patients.
They will offer services such as heart, kidney, brain and neurosurgery care.
Officials hope families will not need to travel as far for emergency treatment.
The state also plans to digitise citizens’ health records from January 1.
Naidu asked the Union government to support a proposed technology project called Quantum Bio Valley in Amaravati.
J.P. Nadda and N. Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated healthcare facilities at Old Government Hospital in Vijayawada.
The leaders virtually launched 10 Critical Care Blocks and 12 Integrated Public Health Laboratories across Andhra Pradesh.
The ₹249-crore project adds 500 critical-care beds, operation theatres, ultrasound services and specialist departments.
Officials said the facilities will improve emergency care access and reduce long-distance travel for poor and middle-class families.
Naidu announced that citizens’ health records will be digitised from January 1 and sought national project status for Amaravati’s Quantum Bio Valley.
