Supreme Court Seeks NEET Reform Steps, GPS Safeguards Cited

The Supreme Court is checking how NEET exams are protected from cheating and other problems.

It wants the National Testing Agency to explain which reforms it has put in place.

These reforms were suggested by the Radhakrishnan Committee and the Nandan Nilekani committee.

The judges said the exam system needs lasting rules and institutions, not just procedures that look good on paper.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta described the safeguards used by the authorities.

He said vehicles carrying question papers are tracked with GPS.

He also said several moderators prepare questions, without knowing which ones will appear in the exam.

The court has asked for a new written report about these steps.
