Arunachal Police Issue Security Advisory Against Online Content Sharing
The police in a place called Arunachal Pradesh sent out an important message to everyone.
They asked people to be very careful when using social media like Facebook and WhatsApp.
Sometimes people share videos or pictures about border incidents and where police or soldiers are going.
The police said people should not share those kinds of videos, pictures or information.
Even if someone shares them because they want to help, it can be dangerous.
It might tell bad people where the police and soldiers are, and that could put them in danger.
Spreading stories that are not true can also scare people and make them confused.
The police said people should only believe official announcements and trusted sources.
They asked everyone to use social media responsibly.
This helps keep the state and the whole country peaceful, calm and safe.
The Arunachal Pradesh Police issued a public advisory on August 14 urging caution on social media.
The advisory, from the Office of the Director General of Police, urged citizens not to share photos, videos or information about security forces' location, movement, deployment or operations.
Police said such content, even if circulated with good intentions, could compromise operational security and endanger security personnel.
The advisory cautioned against spreading rumours and unverified information, warning it could create unnecessary fear, confusion and apprehension among the public.
Citizens were advised to rely only on official statements and verified sources for sensitive security-related developments.
