Bombay HC Upholds Deemed Conveyance to Vile Parle Society

The Bombay High Court recently made a big decision about a housing society in Vile Parle, Mumbai.

A developer named Ariisto Realtors had built a nine-storey building with flats and shops.

The people who bought flats there formed a housing society called Ariisto Cloud Cooperative Housing Society.

The developer was supposed to give the land and building to the society, but didn't.

The society asked the government to make the developer do this, which is called 'deemed conveyance'.

The developer didn't like this and went to court.

The court said the developer can't keep the land just to get more building space (called FSI) in the future.

The court told the developer to give the land to the society quickly.

The judge said the developer can't use tricks to make more money from something that belongs to the society.

The court also said the developer has already used all the building space they were allowed and can't keep delaying to make more profits.
