Sony to Adapt Jonathan Marty Sci-Fi Story 'The Earthling'

Sony Pictures has bought the rights to Jonathan Marty's sci-fi short story, 'The Earthling'.

The movie will be directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, who directed Final Destination: Bloodlines.

The story is a survival sci-fi with similarities to 'The Martian' and 'Edge of Tomorrow'.

Marty has previously sold television shows to various studios.
