At Least 26 Killed in South Sudan Tribal Clashes

At least 26 people died in fighting in Abyei town.

Another 82 people were injured.

The fighting happened at a busy market called Amiet Common Market.

Members of the Ngok Dinka and Misseriya tribes were involved.

Tensions grew after two men, one from each tribe, were killed on separate days.

The United Nations sent more security forces to the market.

The two groups have had deadly disputes before over land and water for animals.

Abyei is an oil-rich area claimed by both South Sudan and Sudan.
