Indore Police Extern 17 Habitual Offenders Ahead of Festivals

Indore Police has taken action against people it says have repeatedly committed crimes.

Seventeen people must stay outside the district for a set time, from three months to one year.

Seven others can remain but must follow strict rules.

They must report regularly to their police stations and avoid actions that could disturb public peace.

The orders were made before upcoming festivals.

Police said earlier steps had not changed the offenders’ behaviour.

The action was taken under a state law.

Breaking the rules could lead to more legal action.
