Mumbai Metro 3 ridership doubles after Cuffe Parade opening
The Mumbai Metro 3, also called the Aqua Line, is a train line that goes from Colaba to Bandra to SEEPZ.
After the last part of this line, which goes to Cuffe Parade, opened on October 9, many more people started using it.
In September, before this part opened, about 19.7 lakh people used the line.
But in December, after it opened, about 46.56 lakh people used it.
That's more than double!
On an average weekday, about 75,052 people used the line before it opened all the way.
After it opened, this number went up to 1.48 lakh in December.
The most people ever on one day was 1.82 lakh on October 16.
So, more people are using the Mumbai Metro 3 now because it's easier to get to more places.
