Omar Abdullah Pushes for J&K Film Industry Revival

Omar Abdullah, the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, visited a film institute in Mumbai to discuss ways to bring back the film industry to his region.

He wants to create jobs and train local people in filmmaking skills.

Jammu and Kashmir was once a favorite place for filmmakers because of its beautiful landscapes, but problems like terrorism made it difficult to shoot films there.

The government is now trying to make it safe and attractive for filmmakers again by offering incentives and improving infrastructure.

Abdullah hopes to establish a satellite campus of the film institute in J&K to help achieve this goal.
