ICAR-CMFRI Launches DeepDATA App for Deep-Sea Biodiversity

ICAR-CMFRI Launches DeepDATA App for Deep-Sea Biodiversity

The ICAR-CMFRI has launched a new app called DeepDATA.

This app helps people learn about deep-sea fish in India.

It shows pictures and information about different fish species, like where they live and how to recognize them.

Anyone can use the app, including students, researchers, and fishermen.

They can also add their own pictures and observations of deep-sea fish.

Experts at CMFRI check these pictures to make sure they are correct before adding them to the app's database.

This helps scientists understand more about the fish in India's deep seas.

The app was made with money from the Ministry of Earth Sciences and is part of the Deep Ocean Mission project.

It helps people learn about and protect India's deep-sea biodiversity.
